Missionary Tanya Aderman challenges the common misconception that God's holiness requires complete separation from evil and darkness. Drawing from Job 1:6-7 and John 1, she demonstrates that God's holiness is not corrupted by the presence of evil—rather, Jesus intentionally stepped into darkness to transform it. Just as Jesus entered a sinful world wrapped in human flesh, believers are called to be holy as God is holy by courageously taking the light of Christ into dark places. This holiness is not isolationist or self-protective, but redemptive and transformative. Armed with God's promises of provision, protection, and presence, Christians need not fear the darkness around them. Instead, they are called to walk as children of light into broken communities, confident that the darkness cannot overcome the light of Christ within them.
